John, a hero who sacrificed himself to protect Earth from divine beings, met an untimely end due to a betrayal by his closest friend. Following his death, he is unexpectedly reborn, finding himself back in time just before the launch of the virtual reality game, "Gods Descend." Armed with this second chance, John is determined to prevent history from repeating itself.
Upon entering the game, John harnesses the power of reincarnation and awakens an incredibly rare SSS-level talent called "Plunder." This unique ability allows him to absorb various attributes and skills from defeated enemies. By eliminating regular monsters, he can plunder their attribute points, such as gaining Physique +1 from a tusked wild boar or Speed +1 from a bloodthirsty wolf. Defeating elite bosses grants him skill points, while epic bosses provide luck points. Legendary bosses, however, yield even greater rewards, such as an S-level talent like "Spell Combo."
As John continuously grows stronger through this plundering mechanism, a pivotal moment arrives when the game world begins to merge with reality, and the gods themselves descend upon Earth. It is then that these powerful entities come to understand that there is an insurmountable force on Earth they cannot challenge. John, now an overwhelmingly powerful figure, confidently declares, "I will only make one move. If you survive, you may leave." Immediately after this declaration, he unleashes the ultimate forbidden spell, "Ragnarok."
