In Earth's distant future, a significant spiritual upheaval occurs as most contemporary religions decline or transform. This shift weakens the barrier between the spiritual and physical realms, unleashing ghouls and demons upon the world. While new religions manage to reseal most of these entities, one formidable demon named Belial requires angelic intervention to be contained. Thousands of years later, a beggar named Ambrosia Brahmin rises from her destitute circumstances. She is then tasked by God with a "fetch quest."
