However, his initial plan to have recruits fight on his behalf quickly proves unfeasible. Benton realizes he must rapidly adapt to the realities of a cultivation world, as significant dangers loom. A beast tide threatens his new territory, rival sects are displeased by the disruption of the power balance, and the demonic cultivators who destroyed Chao Su's former sect remain a threat.
This is not a traditional cultivation story; the protagonist cannot cultivate and advances through cultivation realms by earning points from a System. There is no artificial emphasis on specific plot points. Benton makes decisions driven by empathy and emotion, treating his sect members with the affection of a doting grandfather, making him an atypical xianxia protagonist.
The novel contains no sexual content or a harem. Chapters are released Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with occasional bonus chapters, averaging approximately 2,000 words in length. The main character progresses from weak to strong to ultimately overpowered. While not a comedy, the tone is generally light and includes humorous elements.
